Rochelle Holmberg, M.Ed.
Rochelle has been working continuously as an AMI Primary Guide since 2005 when she graduated from the Montessori Institute Northwest. She received her Master’s degree in Montessori Education from Loyola College in Maryland in 2006. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Puget Sound (2002).
Rochelle has also been active in the local music scene for more than 10 years. She was a Violinist and Section Leader in the Jewish Community Orchestra and Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra. Prior to that, she combined her love of music and children by volunteering as Violin Instruction Assistant at a local elementary school.
Rochelle also has an interest in foreign languages. She concedes that after seven years of Spanish classes, she is far from proficient. However, her work on the board of directors of Le Monde French Immersion Public Charter School taught her a great deal about bilingual and language immersion education for young children.
Rochelle and her husband, Jesse, will also be joining our community as Montessori parents. Their three-year old son, Charlie, is enrolling in our primary program in the fall.
