Ana is excited to join TPMS community after living in Bellingham, WA. She received her primary AMS diploma in 2005 and her second primary AMI certification in 2014. She is looking forward to celebrating the completion of her Master of Education in Montessori Primary Education In September 2015. She also holds a BA in Human Services with a concentration in Children and Families from Western Washington University. Ana’s diverse background and teaching experiences include: working at a private school in Nassau, Bahamas; working as a birth-to-three home visitor for Lummi Head Start; and teaching in several local Montessori schools in Whatcom County. In addition to her passion for working with Montessori children, she also teaches private piano lessons, and shares her love of music in the classroom by playing ukulele, piano and guitar. Ana has also volunteered to help raise funds for the annual Whatcom County YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and plays with Bellingham Ukulele Community Players at various local nursing homes and convalescent centers as well as the Bellingham Ukulele Orchestra.
