The Portland Montessori School has a long-standing tradition of educating children for life. Founded in 1962 as Providence Montessori School, we were the first Montessori school in the Pacific Northwest. We offer primary and elementary programs at our Northeast Portland campus that build on a rich history of learning, friendship and community. Guided by a gifted team of Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) certified professionals, we are committed to helping children develop a lifelong love of learning and cultivating the skills essential to authentic living.
